Online Backup is direct remote backup over the Internet. Deployed from our powerful servers in a secure offsite datacentre, we backup businesses client machines directly over the Internet. Backup data is secured with the advanced Blowfish algorithm with 448-bit military level encryption.

Fitsystems creates an onsite (local) copy of your backup onto the FREE External 1TB Hard Drive, as well as the offsite (remote) copy.

Scheduling Backups

Fitsystems can schedule backups at a time to suit you at intervals when your system resources are relatively free. For example, after business hours to improve your performance as well as reduce network usage during business hours.

What is Seeding?

When we first backup your data, and your server is in a remote location and the internet connectivity is not at a very high speed to handle transfer of such large volume of data, we 'seed' the first full backup with our own encrypted external drive. The external drive is taken to our servers in a secure datacentre for the first full 'seed' backup. This saves your both time as well as bandwidth costs.

Please note: that our Online Backup is dependant on your Internet connection being live. For added protection, Fitsystems also backups on the onsite/local external drive in case of downtime.
